On June 29, 2021, the "China Civil Aviation Smart (Digital) Technology Joint Innovation Center" ("Innovation Center") jointly created by China Airport Construction Group Corporation ("Airport Construction Group") and Beijing UniStrong Science & Technology Co., Ltd. ("UniStrong") held an unveiling ceremony at the BeiDou Industrial Innovation Base in Beijing.
Liu Xueyong, Assistant to the General Manager of the Science Technology and Digitalization Department and Director of the Science and Technology Management Division of China Communications Construction Group ("China Communications Construction"), Wang Yongqiang, General Manager of the Airport Construction Group, Yu Datao, Deputy General Manager, and Guo Xinping, Chairman of UniStrong, along with leaders and representatives from Airport Construction Group and its affiliated Airport Planning and Design Research Institute, Airport Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., Beijing Zhongqizhuochuang Technology Development Co., Ltd., Chengdu Electronic Engineering Design Co., Ltd., Beijing TopSci Technology Co., Ltd and Beijing UniTop Information Technology Co., Ltd, attended the event.
Yu Datao, Deputy General Manager of the Airport Construction Group, presided over the unveiling ceremony. Chairman Guo Xinping, Director Liu Xueyong, and General Manager Wang Yongqiang delivered speeches respectively. Guo Xinping pointed out that for many years, UniStrong has taken the innovation-driven strategy as the foundation of enterprise development with a focus on the research and development of BDS spatial-temporal technology. UniStrong has mastered a series of core technologies with completely independent intellectual property rights, especially in the field of smart civil aviation, providing a solid foundation for the construction of the Innovation Center. In the future, UniStrong will unite with the Airport Construction Group to turn the Innovation Center into a platform for building a multi-party cooperation and win-win innovation mechanism, so as to jointly promote the development of the smart civil aviation industry, and to achieve the goals and tasks of the Innovation Center based on the "Airport+X" industrial ecosystem of BDS spatial-temporal information technology fusion.
Liu Xueyong, Director of China Communications Construction expressed his warm congratulations on the establishment of the Innovation Center. He proposed that through the concerted efforts and resources of all parties, the Innovation Center will grow into a pioneer of the "BeiDou+" application in the civil aviation field, facilitating the digital transformation of civil aviation enterprises.
Wang Yongqiang, General Manager of the Airport Construction Group, introduced in his speech that the construction of the Innovation Center will focus on the development of professional intelligent technology and equipment, the full life cycle data platform and management of the airport construction project, and the capitalized operation of key equipment.
Witnessed by the participants, Chairman Guo Xinping and General Manager Wang Yongqiang signed the Cooperation Agreement on Jointly Building the "China Civil Aviation Smart (Digital) Technology Joint Innovation Center" on behalf of both companies, and jointly unveiled the Innovation Center, marking its formal establishment.
According to the cooperation agreement, the Innovation Center has three sub-centers: the Intelligent Equipment R&D Center, the Digital Construction Application Center and the Smart Civil Aviation Technology Application Center. At the ceremony, Chairman Guo Xinping and General Manager Wang Yongqiang separately awarded the plaques to the above three sub-centers.
The Intelligent Equipment R&D Center is responsible for the scientific research and technical application of professional intelligent equipment and facilities, and carries out technical exchanges, scientific research innovation, and product development. The Digital Construction Application Center is responsible for promoting the application of BDS technology in airport construction projects, building up a digital construction platform, and implementing digital construction and smart site project. The Smart Civil Aviation Technology Application Center is responsible for the overall planning and design of the system related to the application of BDS technology, application research and cutting-edge research, etc., and promotes the innovative application of "BeiDou+" technology and related products in the field of civil aviation.
The establishment of the China Civil Aviation Smart (Digital) Technology Joint Innovation Center is to deploy cutting-edge technologies and to enhance core competitiveness with an industry-wide perspective for the development of the digital economy and smart industry. UniStrong will seize this opportunity to work hand in hand with the Airport Construction Group to create a multi-party participation and win-win innovation mechanism, turning the Innovation Center into an independent innovation high ground for BDS technology in the field of civil aviation in China.
